Zhaoyuan MA
Professor
Prof. Zhaoyuan Ma received his B.Sc. degree from Peking University in 2001 and his D.Phil. degree from Oxford University in 2004. From 2006 to 2009, he did postdoctoral research at JQI of NIST and University of Maryland and UC Berkeley in the USA. In 2009, he was titled the Hundred-Talent Professor in Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He designed the world's first ultra-cold atom experiment platform for the space station forTiangong-4. He was in charge of the research on the interaction of Boson- Fermion mixture in microgravity. In 2017,  he became the professor of intelligent manufacturing at the University of Sheffield, UK. In 2018, he joined the Future Lab of Tsinghua University as the PI and the director of the Data Driving Manufacturing Research Center. In May 2020, he was promoted as the Assistant Dean of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School. In 2022, Prof. Ma joined the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing at Southern University of Science and Technology as a tenured professor.
